New Residential Customers

All plans have no annual contract, no hidden fees, and no taxes — internet service is not subject to sales tax. A one-time $80 setup fee applies at signup. Autopay and paperless billing are required. Many customers qualify for self-install — if your service is up and running without a technician visit, we'll apply an $80 credit to your account. Already have fiber service from another provider? We'll also credit the $80 setup fee to your account — you won't see a bill until that credit is fully absorbed.

Premium Support Add-On — $13/mo

Without this add-on, equipment issues that require Grant County PUD involvement are addressed the next business day. With Premium Support, we provide after-hours support coordination — we take your call outside business hours and coordinate directly with Grant PUD on your behalf, so you're not waiting until morning.

About Setup & Installation

The $80 setup fee covers a standard residential installation: running a Cat6 Ethernet cable from the fiber gateway to the nearest room and drilling a single hole to route the cable from outside to inside. We install and test your router to make sure everything works. If your home requires more complex work — crawlspaces, under decks, into attics, or beyond a basic drop — additional labor is billed at $65/hr. We'll always discuss any specialized work in advance so there are no surprises.

Frequently Asked Questions

If your home already has a Grant County PUD fiber gateway installed, most customers can be online within a few business days — sign up online and we'll get you scheduled. If your home does not yet have a gateway, GCPUD will need to schedule an installation, which typically takes 2–4 weeks. That timeline is set by Grant County PUD and is outside our control, but we'll keep you updated every step of the way.
No special router is required — any standard modern router will work. You're welcome to use your own. If you'd like a recommendation, we offer the eero Pro for $100, and you can add multiple units to build a mesh network for whole-home coverage.
After your 5-month promotional rate, your plan moves to the standard monthly rate: $52.95, $63.95, or $78.95 depending on your plan. There are no surprise increases beyond that — your rate stays fixed as long as you keep your plan. No annual contracts.
