Acceptable Internet Use Policy

1. Purpose and Scope
This Acceptable Internet Use Policy (“Policy” or “AIUP”) governs the use of internet access and related services (“Services”) provided by Crescent Bar Internet, LLC (“Crescent Bar,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By subscribing to or utilizing the Services, each customer (“you” or “Subscriber”) agrees to comply with the terms of this Policy. This Policy is designed to promote the responsible, lawful, and fair use of our network infrastructure, and to protect the integrity and reliability of our Services.
2. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Services for any purpose that violates applicable laws, regulations, or the rights of others. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to, the following:
2.1 Illegal Conduct
Using the Services to commit or promote any criminal or unlawful acts, including but not limited to fraud, hacking, unauthorized access, intellectual property infringement, or the distribution of child exploitation materials.
2.2 Network Abuse
Engaging in behavior that disrupts, degrades, or otherwise interferes with Crescent Bar’s network operations or the use of the Services by other customers. This includes, but is not limited to:
•The introduction or distribution of viruses, malware, or malicious code;
•Excessive or sustained consumption of bandwidth or system resources that impairs network performance.
2.3 Spamming and Unsolicited Communications
Sending unsolicited bulk communications of any kind, including email spam, SMS spam, or messaging spam, whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes.
2.4 Harassment and Abuse
Using the Services to harass, threaten, abuse, or intimidate others, including cyberbullying, defamation, stalking, or engaging in discriminatory or hateful speech.
2.5 Privacy Violations
Attempting to monitor, intercept, or access any communications or data not intended for you, including but not limited to network sniffing, packet capture, or scanning for open ports or vulnerabilities.
2.6 Prohibited Server Hosting
Operating servers from a residential account, including but not limited to HTTP, FTP, game, proxy, or email servers, unless expressly authorized in writing by Crescent Bar.
3. Subscriber Responsibilities
Subscribers are responsible for:
3.1 Compliance
Ensuring all users of the Services at their premises comply with this Policy, including household members, guests, and any third parties accessing the Services via Subscriber equipment.
3.2 Device and Network Security
Maintaining the security of connected devices and preventing unauthorized access to the Subscriber’s network or Crescent Bar’s infrastructure.
3.3 Incident Reporting
Promptly reporting any known or suspected violations of this Policy or security incidents to Crescent Bar at hello@crescent-bar.com.
4. Enforcement and Remedies
Crescent Bar reserves the right to enforce this Policy through one or more of the following actions, which may be taken without prior notice:
•Monitoring: Monitoring traffic volume and connection activity for purposes of diagnostics, network protection, or compliance.
•Remediation: Issuing warnings, requesting corrective action, or imposing temporary restrictions.
•Service Suspension or Termination: Limiting, suspending, or terminating your access to the Services in response to violations.
•Referral to Law Enforcement: Cooperating with government agencies as required by law and reporting illegal activity.
Crescent Bar disclaims any obligation to monitor user activity, but reserves the right to do so when warranted.
5. Policy Modifications
This Policy may be amended at Crescent Bar’s sole discretion at any time. Updated versions will be posted at https://crescent-bar.com and are effective upon posting. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
