FAQ
Do I need to bring my own hardware?
Yes. Crescent Bar Colocation is a “BYOH” (Bring Your Own Hardware) facility. Whether it’s a Raspberry Pi, Mac mini, or rackmount server, we provide the space, power, and network — you provide the gear.
Can I access my server remotely?
Absolutely. Every server comes with a public static IP, so you can set up remote access however you prefer (SSH, RDP, VPN, etc.). Remote reboot and KVM access are also available as add-ons.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes! Need more rack space, power, IPs, or dedicated bandwidth? We make it easy to scale your setup as your needs grow. Just contact us when you’re ready — we’re flexible and local.
Is electricity included?
Yes. Each plan includes a base power allocation (usually 1 Amp). UPS-backed power is available for safe shutdowns if needed. We don’t currently offer full generator backup.
What happens if my server crashes/ goes offline?
Our server room is not staffed 24/7, so hands-on support needs to be scheduled in advance. However, we provide an IP-controlled power strip for remote reboots. If your equipment becomes unresponsive, just reach out — we’ll remotely power cycle it upon request.
How is your network connected?
Our colocation facility is on the edge of the Crescent Bar Internet core, directly connected to our upstream fiber. This means low latency, no middlemen, and fast routing — ideal for edge hosting, VPNs, and fast file transfers.
