Fair Use Policy

Effective July 7, 2025

Crescent Bar Internet, LLC

  1. Purpose – This Fair Use Policy (“Policy”) sets forth the guidelines governing reasonable and equitable use of internet services provided by Crescent Bar Internet, LLC (“Crescent Bar,” “we,” or “us”). The intent of this Policy is to ensure the integrity, reliability, and quality of Crescent Bar’s network for all customers.
  2. Scope of Coverage – This Policy applies to all Crescent Bar residential internet subscribers, including but not limited to users of hybrid coaxial, FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home), and wireless connections.
  3. Definition of Fair Use – Crescent Bar’s internet plans are designed and provisioned for standard personal, household, or small-office residential use. Such use includes, but is not limited to:
  • Browsing the internet
  • Email and messaging
  • Video streaming
  • Video conferencing
  • Online gaming
  • Remote work

The following activities may constitute unfair use, particularly when performed in a continuous or automated fashion:

  • Operating public-facing servers or services (e.g., web, FTP, gaming, or proxy servers)
  • Continuous data transfers or unattended uploads/downloads
  • Use of automated systems to scrape, seed, or mirror content 24/7
  • Sustained bandwidth consumption that disrupts or materially impacts the experience of other subscribers

   4. Network Management Practices – Crescent Bar reserves the right to monitor aggregate traffic patterns and take reasonable action to preserve network health and performance. Such actions may include:

  • Temporarily reducing available bandwidth during peak hours
  • Contacting the customer to address unusual usage
  • Applying technical limits, such as rate shaping, after notice
  • Suspending or terminating service in the event of confirmed abuse

   5. No Hard Data Caps – Crescent Bar does not currently impose hard monthly data caps on residential internet service. However, we reserve the right to revise this position if network demand warrants future policy changes.

   6. Business and Commercial Use – Residential plans are not intended for commercial-grade operations or enterprise-level workloads. Customers with commercial needs are encouraged to contact Crescent Bar to discuss available business internet options.

   7. Policy Amendments – We may amend this Policy at any time. Updates will be posted to our website and may also be communicated via email or other means.
